Responsibilities
Collect and review financial data, ensuring accuracy for strategic decisions
Assist in analyzing class and vendor performance
Assist in vendor communication
Ensure proper receipt flow, monitoring receipt of goods and tracking orders
Communicate stock inadequacies to the buyer
Optimize buying by store in order to maximize opportunities by market and follow up with appropriate allocation
Write and place reorders after consultation with the buyer
Analyze vendor performance to identify product opportunities, trends, and offerings that will impact the business and provide results
Assist buyer during product selection and assortment during market
Enter all seasonal purchases accurately into the appropriate systems and meet all deadlines
Qualification
Required
2 years minimum in buying office experience required; preferably in a luxury, retail environment
Must have strong retail math skills
Sense of urgency, confident, self-starter, quick learner and motivated attitude
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
Strong listening, written, and oral communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Exhibits a strong sense of professionalism, courtesy and friendly demeanor
