Responsibilities

This role will lead a team of supervisors and individual contributors as direct report staff
Plan, direct, and manage all manufacturing activities to achieve company objectives for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and compliance
Ensure all operations adhere to FDA, ISO 13485, and other applicable medical device regulations
Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring that production targets and schedules are met or exceeded
Drive initiatives that improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and increase throughput
Build and maintain strong partnerships with Human Resources, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Care to align priorities and deliver company goals
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to support New Product Introductions (NPI) and implementation of manufacturing software tools and systems that enhance production performance
Work cross-functionally to ensure a seamless transition of new designs and processes into full-scale manufacturing
Manage production scheduling to meet Plan vs. Actual (P vs. A) targets and customer demand
Collaborate with Supply Chain to plan and manage inventory levels, ensuring material availability while minimizing excess
Lead standardization, cost reduction (Cost per Unit - CPU), and ERP optimization initiatives to improve process control and data visibility
Manage department budgets based on Annual Operation Plans (AOP)
Identify and implement cost-effective process improvements that enhance product quality, productivity, and efficiency
Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence
Champion the use of data-driven decision-making to monitor performance metrics and optimize workflow
Ensure manufacturing teams are appropriately staffed, trained, and equipped to meet quality and production standards
Promote a culture of employee engagement, collaboration, and accountability across all levels
Provide coaching, mentorship, and career development opportunities to build a strong and motivated team
Encourage participation in training programs, educational workshops, and continuous learning opportunities
Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by ensuring adherence to all EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) standards
Promote a proactive safety culture through regular audits, training, and employee engagement initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
10+ years of related manufacturing operations experience and minimum of 5 years of management experience with large spans of control (20-20 direct reports). Experience with supervisor-level direct reports also required preferably in the medical device or regulated industry
Proven success in managing large-scale production teams and delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost
Deep understanding of medical device manufacturing processes, quality systems (ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820), and Lean methodologies
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., QAD, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively across organizational boundaries
Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and excellence

Automation Implementation & PCBA Testing experience desired
