Responsibilities

Lead Agile execution for 2-3 Agile teams, Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (e.g., Team Syncs, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives) with coaching and strategic alignment in mind, tailoring the cadence and structure to team needs while reinforcing team agreements like the Definition of Done and driving actionable improvements

Maintain and improve transparency using Azure DevOps (or similar tools), proactively evolving how progress, velocity, and metrics are visualized to inform prioritization and business decisions

Actively participate and influence in Communities of Practice, Scrum of Scrums, and other forums to learn from peers and amplify team impact through broader Agile community engagement

Apply domain expertise and systems knowledge (legacy platforms, modern stacks, mobile apps, etc.) to shape realistic delivery plans, unblock progress, and influence backlog prioritization

Help the team stay focused on delivery goals proactively by navigating shifting priorities, resolving blockers efficiently, and anticipating risks before they impact commitments

Promote team ownership and delivery predictability by mentoring teams on estimation, capacity planning, and data-informed tradeoffs guiding toward self-organization and team maturity

Identify and resolve cross-team dependencies, risks, through strong relationships and proactive communication

Champion Agile change management by building your brand to influence team and stakeholders understanding of process shifts through story telling, stakeholder trust, and metric driven insights

Encourage inclusive collaboration by fostering a culture of respectful dialogue, regular feedback and shared ownership of outcomes beyond immediate Agile teams

Deliver with excellence by modeling high standards, modeling engineering best practices, and mentoring peers on quality, Agile execution, and continuous improvement opportunities

Required

5+ years as a Scrum Master or Agile delivery leader, with experience managing multiple teams

Skilled in using Agile delivery tools (Azure DevOp, DevOps, Jira) to track stories, tasks, and metrics

Comfortable supporting multiple agile teams and navigating cross-team dependencies

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable navigating change and promoting agile values with a positive, constructive tone

Deep understanding of Scrum practices, Agile principles, and scale frameworks (e.g. SAFe)

This hybrid role follows a 3x in-office days per week in our Indianapolis location that may vary dependent on your Agile team's in-office schedule. Core working hours are typically 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., aligned with assigned Agile team collaboration needs

Preferred

Azure DevOps experience

Experience working with multiple tech stacks or types of applications (e.g., legacy, mobile, cloud, web)

A mindset focused on delivery excellence, velocity, and predictability—balanced with empathy and servant leadership

Strong understanding of estimation techniques, sprint planning mechanics, and capacity planning

BS/BA degree in a technical, business, or related field

SAFe Scrum Master certification
