Quality Test Engineer II

Responsibilities
Support Test Engineering in Test Readiness Reviews
Test configuration validation
Test setup and execution support – ensuring the test plan is being followed and documented
Test observation and feedback
Post test data and documentation review
Interfaces with Supplier Quality Engineering to provide guidance and support for supplier issues as it relates to Supplier Test Programs and possibly general program supplier support
Performs quality planning activities including development of Quality Plan, Quality Assurance Directive and Inspection Plan documents as required by the assigned project(s)
Participates in product development and design document reviews targeting design for manufacturability
Interfaces with internal organizations and systems in performance of the assigned Quality Engineering functions
Participates in process improvement activities through monitoring, root cause investigations, auditing, failure analysis etc
Participates in Program Management activities appropriate to the assigned project(s)
Participates in Contract Data Requirements List development, review and delivery to the customer as required by the assigned project(s)
Assists in developing fabrication/build processes and standards
Performs Material Review Board (MRB) disposition and tracking activities
Provides status inputs to the Cost Account Manager for tasks performed
May perform CAM function for small to medium projects
Uses knowledge of inspection tools and techniques to define inspection requirements
Performs QA estimating for small to medium, less complex projects
Reviews customer contracts on simple to moderately complex projects; responsible for requirements analysis, identification and definition
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in quality engineering, Test Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a AS9100 environment
Fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Effective ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks
Knowledge of statistical techniques and applications
Effective written and oral communication skills, good interpersonal skills
Ability to analyze test plan and procedures, specifications, drawings, procedures and schematics
Ability to apply logical, scientific or analytical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
Ability to work both in a team environment and independently
An inquiring mind and passion for learning
Knowledge of Quality Engineering and manufacturing processes
Technical knowledge of inspection and test techniques
Experience with Oracle a plus
This position requires that the candidate be a US citizen with or capable of receiving a Secret level security clearance
Qualified applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for a Secret clearance
