Outside Sales Representative - Southern GA/FL Territory

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving profitable growth by expanding the customer base and increasing sales within a specified geographic territory, while maintaining relationships with key customers and achieving sales quotas.

Responsibilities
Driving profitable growth by expanding customer base and increasing sales within a specified geographic territory
Presenting product lines and services to existing customers and targeted high value prospects
Working closely with the General Manager for account alignment and strategic planning to identify targets and opportunities
Increasing revenue in targeted accounts with a specific focus on flat rolled products, discrete plate and fabrication sales
Achieving or exceeding the assigned quota on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Developing and maintaining relationships with key customers
Service and manage existing customers and establish new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule
Building consensus, gaining appropriate commitments and closing business
Providing territory intelligence and serving as a key resource to the inside sales team
Performing sales administrative duties (i.e. territory planning reports, month in review reports, field sales daily call reports, expense reports, etc.)
Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in industry related associations and events
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in related field and/or 4+ years of commensurate work experience in steel service center sales
Skilled in conducting face-to-face presentations, negotiating, closing sales, and account management
MS Office 2010 proficiency (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Must be highly motivated and possess a personal commitment to the success of the organization
Travel 80%
