Mid LevelAmeriCorps is a program partnership that provides hands-on wildland fire prevention and restoration experience. As a Team Leader, you will lead a team of young adults in various service projects focused on environmental conservation and resource management.

Responsibilities
Lead a team through service projects in the areas of wildfire risk mitigation, reforestation, environmental conservation, and resource management
Direct, motivate, and mentor a diverse team of young people
Coordinate project logistics with USFS and NCCC staff
Engage in hazardous fuels reduction, protecting threatened habitats, conducting prescribed burns, wildlife surveys, infrastructure or trail maintenance, or providing nursery services to support growing seedlings
Qualification
Required
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to serve full-time for 11 months (1 month leadership training, 10 months leading a team)
Experience in leading a team of young adults
Ability to work closely with USFS professionals in the sector of natural and cultural resource management
Willingness to deploy to a minimum of 3 projects across the country
Ability to handle hiking long distances while carrying a heavy pack
Ability to work on uneven terrain and carry tools
Ability to complete trail work, surveys, prescribed fire burns, and other labor-intensive outdoor projects
Experience in community organization, writing/editing, disaster services, environment, leadership, conflict resolution, public speaking, teamwork, and communications
Ability to direct, motivate, and mentor a diverse team of young people
Ability to coordinate project logistics
