Analyst, Decarbonization Program Management
Royal Caribbean Group is a leader in the cruise industry, seeking an Analyst for their Decarbonization Program Management team. The Analyst will support the company's efforts to evaluate and expand the use of low-carbon fuels, combining analytical skills with data management to ensure alignment with decarbonization targets and regulatory compliance.
Travel
Responsibilities
Collect, validate, and analyze operational energy, emissions, and fuel consumption data across the fleet
Maintain dashboards, databases, and models to monitor decarbonization performance and low-carbon fuel usage
Quantify emissions reductions from decarbonization levers and track progress toward corporate targets
Support development of KPIs, compliance metrics, and performance reports for EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime, IMO, and internal governance
Assist in developing clear decarbonization narratives and supporting materials for leadership and cross-functional workshops, translating data into strategic insights
Assist in preparing program documentation, trackers, and meeting summaries
Coordinate cross-functional deliverables with Marine Operations, Newbuild, Fuel Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Brand, and Corporate Strategy
Track timelines, dependencies, and milestones for decarbonization projects, deliverables, and initiatives
Develop foundational project management skills including stakeholder mapping, risk tracking, and milestone planning
Partner with itinerary planning teams to integrate decarbonization considerations into deployment decisions
Analyze fuel consumption, emissions profiles, and energy efficiency implications across voyage scenarios
Support modeling of trade-offs between commercial itineraries, regulatory requirements, and corporate targets
Assist in evaluating broader decarbonization levers beyond fuels, including energy optimization, electrification, and renewable integration
Research emerging low-carbon fuel markets (biofuels, LNG, methanol, e-fuels) and track price trends, carbon intensity values, and certification standards
Maintain a global supplier database and benchmark industry peers on fuel adoption and decarbonization progress
Analyze regulatory changes and provide recommendations on operational or strategic adjustments to maintain compliance and competitiveness
Provide insights to support strategic sourcing and partnership evaluations
Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing program status, lever progress, and compliance with readiness
Translate complex technical and financial data into clear insights for leadership and governance committees
Support stakeholder engagement through preparation of workshop materials, alignment decks, and participation in internal and external forums
Contribute to cross-functional storytelling that aligns data with business strategy and enterprise decarbonization goals
Performs other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Energy Economics, Business, or Sustainability
1–3 years of experience in maritime operations, energy, program management, or management consulting
Strong proficiency in Excel modeling and PowerPoint
Ability to synthesize large datasets into actionable insights and narratives
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage cross-functional teams
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities, take ownership, and contribute ideas that challenge the status quo
Highly organized, analytical, and motivated to learn about maritime decarbonization and energy transition
Opportunity to build expertise in maritime decarbonization, regulatory compliance, and project management with potential progression into program management roles
Preferred
Master's degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Energy Economics, Business, or Sustainability
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
Familiarity with GHG accounting, carbon intensity metrics, and biofuel certification schemes (ISCC, RSB)
