Human Resource Coordinator/ Recruiter
Westhab, Inc. is a prominent community development organization that provides housing and supportive services for vulnerable members of the community. The Human Resources Coordinator supports the Director of Human Resources in daily operations, focusing on recruitment, retention, benefits, and employee relations for NYC programs.

Responsibilities
Full cycle recruitment including job posting, identifying suitable candidates, conducting phone and in-person screenings, reference and background checks, negotiating job offers, and preparing orientation documents
Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and provide updates to applicants and hiring managers on the status of applications
Conduct weekly New Staff Orientations and review policies and procedures of the Agency
Provide guidance and clarification on Westhab’s policies and procedures to NYC staff
Assist management with completing payroll and with resolving timekeeping challenges at the various sites
Conduct investigations into staff misconduct and prepare disciplinary actions, termination letters and other correspondence as needed and work with Director of HR to execute said items
Respond to staff concerns and work with the Director of HR in developing the best course of action to resolve challenges
Support the AVP, Program Directors, and their designees in resolving staff concerns
Prepare weekly staffing vacancy report
Coordinate with staff development team to schedule and track training sessions on site
Research and recommend training programs outside the organization
Other duties assigned by the Director of Human Resources
Qualification
Required
Bachelor degree required in business or human resources management
3-5 years of experience primarily in recruiting, employee relations and disciplinary matters
Experience in a non-profit, social service setting
Proven track record of success in recruitment and overall HR Coordination
Ability to succeed in a fast paced environment
Exceptional communication skills
Ability to interact with senior level and executive level staff regularly
Must be able to multi-task
