Responsibilities
Inspect guestrooms, public space and back of the house for areas to repair, touch up or replace
Repairs, or replace items such as light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall coverings, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous items
Assists other department associates in the systematic application of the preventive maintenance program
Makes records of repairs made, or areas needing further attention
Maintains inventory of supplies needed to perform job function
Reports major repairs and items that cannot be repaired to the dispatcher for further action and if necessary, place a room out of order
Due to the nature of the business the individual may be required to do other duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor, such as water proofing, shop clean up and labeling of hazardous materials
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of all maintenance trades, including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry
Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of resort equipment
Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools
Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English
Mathematical skills in order to communicate with co-workers fully comprehend job assignments and perform accurate simple arithmetic functions
Basic experience in maintenance trades, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry
Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate
Preferred
High School graduate or equivalent preferred
CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred
Benefits
$500 Sign-on Bonus. You will receive $250 upon a successful 90 day completion and $250 upon 180 day completion of employment.
