The Residential Care Specialist (RCS) is responsible for providing care and support to children and adolescents, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment while assisting with daily living activities and monitoring residents' behavior.

Responsibilities
Follows instructions given by Program Director/RCS Supervisor as outlined in policies and procedure
Provides care to child/adolescent (9-18) in a manner that considers safety, residents’ rights, comfort, level of development, and the therapeutic environment
Assists with admission, discharge, and transfer of residents
Assists with resident trips outside the center transporting residents in hospital van, as needed
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
Employees must be in good standing (employment/corrective action history, evaluation, etc.) to be considered for internal transfers
Preferred
Prefer a minimum of two years of college in areas of psychology, social work, mental health, and other related health fields
Experience in dealing with the emotionally disturbed preferred
