The District Sales Manager for the Water Utility in Florida is responsible for growing the business by supporting sales activities and managing relationships with Business Partners and direct accounts in the municipal sector.

Responsibilities

Participate with the Business Partner in a sales support role by making sales visits with the Business Partner. Also participates in local and regional trade shows to facilitate and add value to the selling process
Continually develops knowledge of the business climate, applications and competition for defined geography and accounts
Develops, maintains, and implements a regional plan
Continually assesses current Municipal / Water Utility distribution channels, develops and evaluates their performance and manages conflict, while ensuring alignment with regional plans
Provides training on Grundfos products, applications, and sales processes, and will provide/facilitate training and education to all levels of the sales channel
Maintains data related to partners, accounts, and activities, and documents customer interactions. Prepare reporting as needed
Takes part in continued Education and Training programs and seminars, offered through and by Grundfos, to obtain and advance product, market and technical knowledge

Required

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline, or 3+ years of experience in the municipal or pump industry
Experience with Dodge Reports
Experience with municipal sales process
In-depth knowledge of the Municipal / Water Utility market segment and a general knowledge of the other Grundfos target markets
Demonstrated knowledge of pumps and pumping systems, rotating equipment including electronically controlled pump systems (VFD, controllers, etc.) used within the Municipal / Water Utility market
Ability to develop and deliver effective product presentations for all sizes of audiences for both internal and external customers
The ability to operate remotely from a home office
A willingness to travel up to 50% (Overnight) to the sales territory if necessary
Candidates should be able to maintain valid identification
Qualified candidate must have the authorization to work in the USA without support
