Mechanical Engineer IV

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive mechanical designs with a functional understanding of the other engineering disciplines' responsibilities
Provide technical support to project teams as required from initial design to production
Perform advanced analyses (thermal, structural, and tolerance) without guidance
Develop mechanical designs for new products, fabrication fixturing, and test fixturing
Create and review engineering documentation packages
Mentor MEIII employees by providing training on job junctions, reviewing work, and providing overall project guidance
Provide inputs to engineering design reviews including calculations, analyses, drawings, etc. to show compliance to specifications and project objectives and standards
Interact with customers and vendors as necessary based on project scope; makes presentations to communicate engineering findings

Required

Minimum eight (8) years of experience in a specialized functional discipline
OR (12) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree
OR (6) years of experience may be considered w/ a Masters Degree
OR (3) years of experience may be considered w/ a PhD
Applicable experience in lieu of a Degree may be considered
Experience in the design of electronic or electromechanical products
CAD Software (Solidworks preferred)
FEA Analysis (Solidworks and Ansys preferred)
Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Security Clearance
