The Welding Engineer will interface with manufacturing and maintenance to resolve welding systems issues, program welding equipment, and assist in maintaining welding integrity.

Responsibilities
Interface with manufacturing and maintenance to resolve welding systems issues
Program robots, pedestal welders, and all other types of welding related equipment
Assist Quality Assurance department in maintaining welding integrity
Train, coach and mentor the welding process for weld engineers, manufacturing and skilled trades colleagues
Direct and/or participate in root cause analysis and tam problem solving activities (e.g. 8D reports, department meetings, etc.)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in weld engineering/technology from four-year college or university; five years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Hands on experience in manual and automated welding processes
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Preferred
Resistance spot welding
Drawn Arc Stud Welding
Adhesive/ sealer dispensing systems – Nordson & Johnstone
Dispenser vision systems - Coherix
Weld Timers - WTC & Bosch
Robotic Programming – Fanuc & Motoman/Yaskawa
Weld power source, wire feeder, torch and reamer
Plasma cutting, grinding and rework applications
Weld shielding gas technologies
Electrical enclosures and power requirements for welding
Customer welding specification and testing requirements
Gas metal arc welding
