SAIC is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to help design, build, and maintain modern, scalable web applications. The role involves working alongside a high-performing engineering team on projects that utilize various front-end and back-end technologies, as well as AWS infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and deploy full stack web applications using modern frameworks and languages

Build clean, reusable, and well-documented front-end components (React, Angular, or similar)

Design and implement RESTful APIs or similar endpoints using Node.js or Python (FastAPI, Flask, etc.)

Integrate and optimize PostgreSQL or other relational databases

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitLab (or equivalent) for automated builds, testing, and deployments

Collaborate with other engineers to design scalable architectures and improve DevSecOps practices

Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical design discussions

Support integration and deployment in AWS environments

Required

Must possess a Bachelors degree and five (5) years' experience; Additional six (6) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle)

Must possess an active Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required

1-3 years of experience with AWS

1-3 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

3–5 years of professional experience in full stack web development

Proficiency with React (or Angular/Vue) and TypeScript or similar tools

Experience with Node.js and/or Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Express) or similar tools

Solid understanding of SQL and relational database design (PostgreSQL preferred)

Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD or similar build/deploy pipelines

Working knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, or CloudFormation)

Strong debugging, testing, and version control practices
