Youth Development Mentor
Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County is dedicated to supporting the developmental growth of youth. The Youth Development Mentor (YDM) is responsible for delivering activities and mentorship to elementary-aged youth, focusing on inclusive and culturally responsive engagement.

Responsibilities
Mentor and supervise a group of elementary and high school students (up to 15)
Guide students through fun, hands-on learning and social recreation activities including art (music, theater, visual arts), STEM, games, sports and more!
Create and supervise special events and activities for youth to connect with future possibilities- field trips and on-site activities might include roller derby, rock climbing, tree climbing, water parks and specials guests and demonstrations from local artists, scientists, game shops and more!
Join a group of 8-12 diverse (age, race, ethnicity, culture) and fun-loving youth development professionals for a summer of laughter and learning!
Qualification
Required
Must have knowledge of youth and teen development principles and practices
Ability to meet schedules and deadlines
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently without direct supervision
License to drive (if over 21) and ability to drive Club vans a plus
Preferred
Consistent work schedules preferred
One year of experience preferred but NOT required
