Responsibilities
Handling payroll-related journal entries (wages, bonuses, employer taxes, incentives, 401(k), stock comp, benefits, etc.)
Monthly reconciliations for all payroll and compensation accounts
Supporting month-end close and making sure everything ties out cleanly
Running payroll reports and helping HR/Finance with data pulls
Working with HR and Benefits teams to make sure medical, pension, and incentive programs are accounted for correctly
Helping reconcile 401(k) funding and contributions with ADP, Fidelity, and the GL
Assisting with stock comp entries
Providing clean, audit-ready support when needed
Helping tighten up processes, controls, and standard work within payroll accounting
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of accounting experience
Some exposure to payroll accounting, comp & benefits, or similar work the more the better
Accounting or Finance degree
Comfortable with payroll data, JEs, reconciliations, and working with HR
Solid Excel skills and someone who's detail-oriented but easy to work with
Someone who likes a mix of routine monthly close work and project work
