Reliability Engineer- Casthouse

Responsibilities

Conduct reliability assessments and root cause analysis of equipment failures in the casting process
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to identify and resolve reliability issues
Analyze data from various sources to identify trends and recommend improvements
Develop and maintain reliability metrics and KPIs to track performance and progress
Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing process reliability
Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations personnel
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations and standards
Prepare and present reports on reliability performance and improvement initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in reliability engineering, preferably in the aluminum or metals industry
Strong knowledge of hot rolling processes and equipment
Proficiency in reliability analysis tools and techniques (e.g., FMEA, RCA, RCM)
Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to the aluminum industry

Preferred

Professional certification in reliability engineering (e.g., CRE, CMRP) preferred
Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies preferred
Familiarity with condition monitoring technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography) preferred
