Home Care Training Instructor

Amicable Healthcare Inc. is seeking dedicated and culturally competent Home Care Training Instructors to join their growing training team. This role involves teaching Home Care Aide (HCA) training courses to new hires pursuing certification, with a focus on caregiver development, compliance, and supporting a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

Deliver state-approved Home Care Aide (75-hour) training courses in alignment with DSHS curriculum and standards
Conduct in-person and/or virtual training sessions, including both classroom instruction and skills demonstrations
Assist learners with comprehension and application of course materials---especially ESL participants---to ensure understanding of care standards and client safety
Provide instruction in the trainee's primary language (English, Somali, or Cantonese/Mandarin) when needed to clarify key topics
Evaluate caregiver performance during hands-on skills practice and provide constructive feedback
Maintain accurate attendance, completion, and performance records for compliance reporting
Collaborate with the Training Coordinator and HR department to ensure timely scheduling, certification tracking, and exam preparation
Support continuous improvement of instructional materials and recommend culturally appropriate teaching methods
Stay informed on DSHS, DOH, and state home care training requirements and updates

Required

Proficiency in English and one of the following: Somali or Cantonese/Mandarin
Prior experience in training, teaching, or instructing adults---either in healthcare or another structured learning environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to teach diverse groups of learners
Ability to travel to training sites as needed
Commitment to maintaining compliance with all DSHS/DOH regulations

Preferred

Active Home Care Aide (HCA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
Experience providing direct care in home care, assisted living, or long-term care settings
Knowledge of adult learning principles and teaching methodologies
Bilingual instructional or interpretation experience
