The intern will learn to analyze data to solve problems, visualize raw data, and communicate trends, with the potential to transition into a full-time role.

Responsibilities

Assisting the full-time Data Scientist team in the analysis, development, and testing of code supporting existing and future products and services

Learning, analyzing, and utilizing data to solve problems and answer questions that lead to better customer service

Visualizing or contextualizing raw data, training, evaluating, and deploying various types of modeling techniques, and communicating resulting trends and observations

Helping facilitate the curation of data upstream to ensure analysis and modeling can be performed effectively

Required

Completion of or progress towards a degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or any other applied or quantitative discipline

Experience in Python or R, and various libraries/packages

Some understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques, including tree-based models and neural networks

Ability to perform critical thinking and statistical analysis

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to commute when scheduled to the local office is required

Able to work independently and communicate within a team environment

Hours during regular work week, Ability to commute daily to local office is required

Preferred

Knowledge around computer vision, Natural Language Processing, or Large Language Models

Experience with SQL, stored procedures, or APIs
