Acadia Realty Trust, headquartered in Rye, New York, is an equity real estate investment trust focused on long-term growth. They are seeking a Property Management Intern in Chicago to assist with day-to-day operations of retail and commercial properties, gaining exposure to various property management strategies.

Responsibilities

Commercial real estate management with an emphasis on retail store and shopping center management

Budgeting and forecasting

Assist in bidding, negotiating & managing vendor contracts

Involvement in building & mechanical systems

Required

Must have completed junior year of college

Must be enrolled in a college degree program at an accredited institution

Must be able to work onsite in Chicago, IL

Ability to work 40 hours per week

Must have a GPA of 3.0 or above

Must have unrestricted work authorization in the US without a visa or sponsorship

Preferred

Highly self-motivated, hardworking, detail-oriented

Ability to prioritize challenging work schedule/multi-task

Strong communications skills (verbal, written and listening)

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Passionate to learn about commercial real estate
