Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an IOS Technical Lead to oversee the development and maintenance of high-quality iOS applications. The role involves coding, testing, and optimizing performance while providing leadership and guidance to junior developers.

Responsibilities

Coding and Development by writing and maintaining the high-quality code in Objective C, adhering to the coding standards

Design and Implementation of user interfaces and experiences, features and ensuring the applications overall functionality

Testing and debugging by performing thorough testing to identify and fix the bugs, ensuring the application is stable and reliable

Performance Optimization by optimizing performance for speed, memory usage, user usability and battery efficiency

Integrating the APIs and SDK to enhance the application functionality

Staying up-to date by keeping abreast of the latest iOS, Xcode and Objective C technologies, trends, and best practices

Team Leadership by monitoring the junior developers, providing guidance (technical/functional) and facilitating knowledge sharing within the team

Communication and collaborating effectively with product/project manager, designers and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions

Conducting the code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to the standards

Assisting with the project planning, estimation and the task allocation

Problem solving capability by identifying and resolving the technical challenges and bottlenecks

Creating and maintaining the technical documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and maintainability

Contributing to the continuous improvement of the development process

Required

Proficiency in Objective C syntax – Memory management, OOPS Concepts

Solid understanding of iOS framework like core DB, Xcode - Core Data for storage, Core Animations and relevant frameworks

RESTful APIs and integration – Specially for the data communication and integration with backend services

Networking – Knowledge in network protocols, techniques for interacting

Memory Management – Experience in managing memory effectively to avoid leakages & performance issues

Testing and Debugging – Proficient with unit testing, debugging techniques & performance tuning

Version Control – Proficient in using version control systems like Intune for collaborative development & code Management

Problem Solving Ability to analyze, identify solutions, write clean & efficient code

Communication skills for collaborating with other developers, client and business

Attention to Detail in code, UI, Backend Code and overall application functionality end to end

Adaptability towards learning new frameworks and best practices

Continuous learning by staying up to date with latest iOS SDK, framework and development tend

Understanding iOS principles and how to create, maintain user friendly applications

Familiarity with the Human Interface Guidelines for designing consistent and user-friendly applications
