They are seeking an Operations Engineering Intern to develop, implement, and improve manufacturing and logistics processes to support organizational goals for safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost.

Responsibilities

Develop new, or improve existing, standard work for Production and Logistics operations

Under supervision, utilize Lean manufacturing tools, such as Single-Piece Flow, 5-S, Visual Management Systems and Set Up Reductions

Analyze production and logistics processes, and work with the management team to improve and standardize those processes

Update existing standardize work to match latest changes

Support plant safety culture with continuous improvement activities that will result in reduction of potential injuries

Develop and implement appropriate metrics to measure and monitor plant's continuous improvement efforts

Performs technical assignments of simple to moderate complexity under supervision

Working independently or in a group setting as needed based on the assigned project

Required

Pursuing a BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Manufacturing, Industrial or equivalent)

Preferred

Knowledge of manufacturing and distribution processes

Commitment to health and safety standards

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Project management skills and Problem-solving ability

Understanding of lean manufacturing tools and concepts

Teamwork skills
