Electrical Engineering Intern - Manufacturing & Technology Group

Arconic is currently in search of an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our Manufacturing, Technology & Engineering Team. This internship provides students the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges, working on impactful projects across multiple business functions and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Work with our Corporate Engineering team on projects at both the local and domestic plants
Expand new Technology piloted in one plant to others to drive standardization
Work with your mentor to learn how PLCs, sensors, supervisory systems, and data are leveraged in aluminum manufacturing
Create analytics and alarms in our data collection systems to drive quicker reactions to problems when they arise
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on impactful projects
Apply your classroom knowledge to solve business problems
Learn from some of the best in the manufacturing industry
Develop a presentation for plant and corporate leadership on your project(s) and findings throughout the internship

Required

Currently enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering Degree, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering program (or related electrical technology program)
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements

Preferred

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in team settings
Passion for innovation and continuous learning
Previous work or internship experience in manufacturing setting
Expected graduation date of December 2026, or Spring 2027
