Excavator Operator

Glass Roots Construction, LLC is a fiber optic utility construction firm seeking skilled and experienced Excavator Operators to join their team. The role involves operating various types of heavy equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining communication with the crew and ensuring site setup and cleanup.

Responsibilities

Must be able to operate various types of heavy equipment, such as excavators, dozers, backhoes, compactors, articulated dump trucks, and/or front-end loaders
Ensures equipment is in good working order, at all times
Must possess skill, coordination, and awareness to operate heavy equipment in a safe manner with precision and efficiency
Willingness to operate heavy equipment for long periods with continuous attention to detail and safety
Maintain consistent communication among field crew members by use of hand signals or radio to align and position heavy equipment properly
Restores and/or landscapes disturbed areas of the job site
Responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on the truck
Will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis - JSA prior to starting construction
Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic
May be required to work overtime; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies, or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completed
Ability to follow instructions

Required
