Systems Engineer
Areté is at the forefront of utilizing innovative solutions to solve complex security challenges. They are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to design, build, and test electro-optical mechanical stabilized systems, ensuring system requirements closure and collaborating with various teams.

Responsibilities
Execute multiple aspects of the systems engineering discipline, to include requirements decomposition into software/hardware functions, system performance analysis and trade studies, oversight of software/hardware development and system integration and test activities to ensure system requirements closure
Interact with the development teams, production teams, program leadership, and customer regarding technical considerations, risks, and issue closure associated with our programs capabilities
Develop detailed test plans and procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and resources are available
Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, architectures, and troubleshooting procedures
Responsible for requirements derivation, requirements traceability, systems integration & test, performance verification
Responsible for coordinating and/or conducting system performance modelling
Coordinate and conduct system integration testing to ensure compatibility and performance
Document findings, generate test reports, and present results to stakeholders
Presenting engineering material in life cycle design reviews
Support test events at multiple test event sites
Responsible for Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and design
Play an active role in troubleshooting system level failures amongst a diverse team of engineers and technicians
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components into a cohesive system
Qualification
Required
Eligible to obtain and hold a Top Secret clearance
Hands on knowledge for precision assemblies and testing of hardware
Develop detailed test plans and procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and resources are available
Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, architectures, and troubleshooting procedures

Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field
9+ yrs. experience with BS/BA
7+ yrs. experience with MS/MA
4+ yrs. experience with PhD
Preferred
Jama for Requirements and Test Management
Ability to write scripts for test automation and data analysis
Experience with project management methodologies and tools like Agile, Scrum
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as MIL-STD, MIL-HDBK, ISO, ASME
