Principal Data Center Site Planner

Responsibilities
Working closely with demand planning team to convert a business plan into a site plan that meets both the customer and business goals
Aggregating the network capacity plan and connectivity plan from partner organizations
Producing the server plan and power allocation plan needed to execute on the business requirements of the site
Partnering with development teams to provide requirements to automate the process as much as possible
Producing a single document for each specific new site build and site expansion
Clearly handing off an actionable design to data center design
Seeking approval of designs from leadership and key stakeholders
Determine specific rack and power allocations at a new site to meet customer needs
Qualification
Required
7-10 years in cloud/hyperscale networking, data center capacity planning, or cloud compute capacity planning
7-10 years experience leading high functioning teams
Ability to communicate information to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner
Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders to tight deadlines and often shifting priorities
Ability to work cross functionally with sourcing, DC engineering, DC Design, Delivery, Networking and Connectivity teams, and gain buy in to achieve a common goal

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
