Responsibilities

Perform structural modeling, design, and oversight for bridge and other transportation infrastructure projects

Prepare construction documents, including plans, specifications, estimates and calculation packages

Provide technical support/mentorship to structural engineering staff

Perform quality assurance reviews of project construction documents, engineering reports, etc

Assist in preparation of qualification packages, proposals and/or contracts involving technical approach, costs, and scheduling

Provide project management

Review fabrication drawings and provide construction plan reviews

Required

Minimum 8-11 years of structural bridge/transportation design experience required

B.S. in Civil Engineering required; master's degree preferred

PE license required or ability to attain within 6 months

Experience completing engineering studies, design reports, compiling contract documents and developing contract plans, in conformity with accepted engineering standards and procedures including AASHTO, GDOT, local municipalities/counties, and other state DOTs

Strong familiarity with any of the following structural engineering software (i.e. Mathcad, FB-MultiPier, ATLAS, STAAD Pro, LARSA 4D, AASHTOWare, MDX, SP Column, MerlinDASH, GDOT Structures Design Programs, etc.)

Model-based design experience is a strong plus: Bentley OpenBridge and OpenRoads, AutoCADD Civil 3D and Revit/Infraworks/Inventor

Preferred

Master's degree preferred
