Marvin Engineering Company is a leading defense contractor specializing in military aerospace and vehicle systems. They are seeking a Mechanical Technician III responsible for the installation, repair, diagnostics, and testing of military automotive Environmental Control Systems and Auxiliary Power Units as part of their Product Development team.

Responsibilities

Install and test automotive air conditioning systems

Mechanical assembly, integration and testing of Auxiliary Power Units

Trouble-shoot air conditioning systems & diesel engines and generators for malfunctions and diagnose problems

Perform verification and acceptance testing on development and production assemblies

Required

5+ years of experience working in machine shops or assembly shops. Preferably with a Defense contractor

H.S. Diploma or GED is required

Working knowledge of engines, generators and related components

Must be able to read and understand drawings and specifications

Self-motivated and can work with little supervision

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Basic computer skills

Good communication skills

Strong work ethic and team player

Must be able to speak/read/write English

Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
