Responsibilities

Lead projects from planning through construction

Present updates to external client stakeholders and support decision-making

Provide oversight of the schedule and budget using Black & Veatch's internal process and manage large inter-discipline teams of internal and subconsultant resources

Manage all aspects of medium to large water, wastewater and stormwater projects, including risk to cost, schedule, quality

Be responsible for the day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope in the areas of performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction

Provide for the successful staffing of the project

Manage and lead medium to large teams of multi-discipline professionals

Coordinate and integrate the activities associated with the engineering, procurement, construction, and startup elements of the project team, including the activities of all sub consultants

Manages medium to large engineering projects involving multiple clients or partners

Manages multiple services clients where the project team, client structure and/or project location present challenges

Obtains new/repeat business on medium to large size projects; supports contract negotiations with clients

Manages risk which may include lump sum, new technology, markets or new clients

Acts as a project manager among responsibilities is management of a project team

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations

Preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas

12+ years of relevant water engineering experience including but not limited to: water and wastewater infrastructure planning, design-build, asset management, detailed design, and construction

Knowledge of local, federal, and state permitting requirements and funding mechanisms
