Product Manager - Mortgage Capital Markets Operations

Responsibilities
Onboarding, integration with clients to the platform, coordinating with back office on account setup, cash management / treasury services - Work closely with banking and credit team throughout relationship
Manage data integration by developing and maintaining the business advance file specifications used to capture all required loan activity used in funding, shipping and paying down loans and for mark to market, creating and managing timelines and expectations, data gathering and execution of client requests around security and reporting, account opening, coordinating user setup on business applications, delivering demos on vendor and internal systems and other processes performed by the business
Support and lead products / initiatives for the business – working with internal Bank partners to roll out new initiatives to meet business deliverables all while supporting client needs
Act as primary technology client contact and liaison between client and vendor/internal technology teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Create and maintain policies and procedures around business functions and the adherence of the firm and client's privacy and security policies
Facilitate the collection of data and document requirements for user interface defects, enhancements, and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) of various business applications
Manage various product initiatives for the business while balancing expectations of various stakeholders
Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
Develop a robust understanding of supported mortgage products and address internal inquiries ina timely & professional fashion, providing prompt resolutions & further troubleshooting issues as needed
Identify, create and/or maintain operational controls to mitigate risk and drive efficiencies in all processes
Clearly interpret & lead/support team with any ad-hoc work as needed, including but not limited to regulatory requests or special products
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk
