The intern will participate in various projects related to the accounting close and reporting cycle, assisting with journal entries, process refinement, and internal control documentation.

Responsibilities
Learn about the company’s accounting cycle, including balance sheet account reconciliations, journal entries, internal controls, and financial analysis
Learn about other accounting and finance functions including: General Ledger Accounting, Order to Cash, External Reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax, Internal Audit, Finance Business Partners, and Treasury
Prepares internal reports by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from other systems
Analyzes information by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information
Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and reconciling accounts
Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
Understands and maintains Sarbanes Oxley internal control compliance
Understands financial reporting requirements
Project work as assigned
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting or Finance with an Accounting focus
Currently enrolled in at a university with a minimum GPA of 2.5/3.0 in major
Completed a minimum of 9 credit hours in Accounting major coursework or similar
Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
