Import Compliance Specialist

The Import Compliance Specialist will ensure compliance in all import and FTZ related activities, manage customs brokers, and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional teams to facilitate Customs related activities and ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Ensure adherence to U.S. and Canadian Customs regulations, manage duty spend, oversee FTZ and bonded warehouse activities, audit entries, and identify savings opportunities while staying fully compliant
Manage customs brokers, resolve entry-related inquiries, and collaborate with internal teams on HTS, FTA, ADD/CVD, Section 301 tariffs, and other regulatory requirements to keep goods moving without delays
Assign HTS classifications for new products, maintain and audit the global classification database, and ensure consistent updates across regions
Maintain accurate compliance records, support FTA/USMCA certifications, deliver financial reporting, and keep stakeholders informed through clear communication and documentation

Required

5+ years in Customs compliance with a valid Customs Broker's License
Strong HTS classification knowledge
Hands-on FTZ experience
Deep understanding of U.S. and international Customs requirements
Skilled in problem-solving, auditing, and translating regulations into practical business solutions
Clear written and verbal communicator with a customer-focused approach
Proven ability to work across global teams
Reputation for integrity and initiative
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Experience with SAP or similar systems
Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as needed
