Senior Benefits Manager

Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of benefits strategies across health and group benefits, leave, and retirement programs
Monitor market trends and benchmarking data to recommend enhancements that maintain competitiveness and cost-efficiency
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA)
Lead annual open enrollment process with external vendors and internal stakeholders, including definition of system configuration requirements, testing, and employee communications
Build and maintain strategic relationships with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators
Lead vendor evaluations, renewals, and RFP processes to ensure optimal service delivery
Develop and deliver benefit education campaigns to increase employee understanding and participation

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
8+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration, including 3+ years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of benefits compliance and regulatory requirements
Experience managing vendors and leading plan assessments and renewals
Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills

Preferred

CEBS certification preferred
Experience in union environments and multi-state operations
Experience with ADP and SAP is strongly preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
