Director of Corporate Compliance

Responsibilities
Ownership of the execution of functional strategy, framework, controls/systems, and operational direction of a global program in 4+ continents
Ownership of day-to-day operation of all elements of the compliance and ethics program. Advises on specific requirements for the program
Supports other functions (such as finance, global supply chain, government affairs, etc.) designing and maintaining governance frameworks/controls/systems, ensuring compliance and ethics is incorporated
Provides guidance and counseling on complex, compliance and ethics issues. Serves as a business partner to functional and/or regional business units and leaders
Develops, implements, and maintains (including continual improvement) compliance and ethics policies, procedures, guidance, practices, training, awareness, and communications
Manages and maintains risk assessments and develops and implements pragmatic solutions to identify risks
Manages and tracks legal and regulatory developments and research related to compliance and ethics and provide updates to business partners, senior leadership, and support functions as appropriate
Ownership of the Company’s compliance due diligence program
Ownership of internal investigations and assists in establishing and maintaining the Company Ethics Line including metrics and analytics
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Bachelors and/or masters degree with 15+ years of compliance work experience in lieu of Juris Doctor
At least 10 years of legal compliance experience in a law firm or corporate legal or compliance department
Extensive experience in the design, execution, and monitoring of global compliance and ethics programs
Substantives knowledge and experience related to: Bribery and anti-corruption laws (e.g., FCPA, UK Bribery Act), Third-party risk management (e.g., anti-money laundering, fraud, human rights, economic sanctions), Trade compliance regulations (e.g., export controls, economic sanctions, antiboycott), Data Protection and Privacy regulations, Competition / antitrust laws, Internal Investigations or auditing and/or Project management
Preferred
Oil and gas industry experience is not required but is a plus
