Product Sales Engineer, Structural Engineering
Bentley Systems is a world-leading software company providing solutions for architecture, engineering, and construction. They are looking for a Product Sales Engineer to promote and sell their structural engineering software, build client relationships, and execute sales strategies to grow market share in the US and Canada.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies to promote and sell our structural, pipe stress, and offshore engineering software
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients in the engineering and construction industry
Design and deliver Sales Campaigns and Outcome-based Live Sessions
Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions to showcase the features and benefits of our software solutions
Expertly use LinkedIn and other social media means to engage prospects
Understand client needs and requirements and provide tailored software solutions that address their specific challenges
Develop a sales pipeline and forecast all revenue by effectively following the sales process and managing all opportunities in our CRM as a daily sales tool and reporting system
Collaborate with the product development and marketing teams to gather client feedback and provide input for product enhancements and new features
Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of all commercial Offerings and software support policies
Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activities and provide insights to the management team
Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and events to generate leads and build brand awareness
Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals consistently
This is a full-time, individual contributor role expected to work 40 hours per week, home-based in the United States
Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements). The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions
Ability to travel 5% or less of the year

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Offshore/Civil/Structural Engineering, or relevant training and experience
Preferred minimum of one (1) year of technical sales experience within the Offshore Structural Industry or at a software company in Inside Sales, Financial Operations, or Customer Service, with a flair for communicating with accounts and maximizing the account's outcomes and Bentley's revenue
Familiarity with Bentley or other products, ideally with STAAD, RAM, AutoPIPE, ADINA, SACS, or similar
A pleasant non-intrusive manner, positive attitude, eye for detail, resourceful and inquisitive
Self-starter, driven, and accountable
Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and coordinate activities
Excellent English language and written communication skills and the ability to effectively present information to users and prospects via phone and web
Excellent cross-collaboration skills with various internal departments
Ability to discuss product values, positioning, differentiation, and highlights
