Responsibilities

The primary product focus is Instrument Transformers for the Medium Voltage and High Voltage Utility Market

Instrument Transformer design

Review of customer specifications and requirements to evaluate design requirements

New product ideation and development

Active involvement in IEEE/IEC/CIGRE Technical Committees

Design engineering and process improvement projects

Initiating and managing engineering changes

Performing or overseeing mechanical, environmental, and electrical simulation

Providing technical assistance to Applications, Process, and Quality Engineering

Travel requirements involving off-site testing of products, marketing support, field review of product applications or training activities. Travel 20% max

Required

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Ability to travel on business related trips

Ability to interact with Production Associates on the manufacturing floor, providing input and feedback as needed

Preferred

Instrument Transformer Engineering Experience Desired

Experience with Routine and Type Testing of Instrument Transformers Desired

Product Design in a Manufacturing Environment Desired

Knowledge and/or Experience with Sensor Based Voltage and Current Measuring Technologies

Experience with Utility Electronic Data Communications Standards and Protocols

Solidworks and/or Autodesk Inventor Experience

Simulation software experience – Ansys, Comsol, Simulia or other
