Great Lakes Cheese is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join their Packaging Procurement department for a 10-week internship. The role involves contributing to procurement process improvements, focusing on purchase order automation and supplier performance management.

Responsibilities

Design and implement metrics to assess the effectiveness of automated purchase order processing
Collaborate with procurement and cross-functional teams to document, test, and validate new processes
Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track supplier deficiencies and performance
Provide insights that inform supplier performance scorecards and procurement decision-making
Communicate findings and recommendations clearly through presentations, reports, and stakeholder updates
Coordinate tasks, manage timelines, and proactively follow through on commitments

Required

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions preferred)
Experience in data analytics, process design, or related coursework
Strong problem-solving skills and initiative to work independently and collaboratively
Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Data Analytics, or related field
Year in school: Sophomore, Junior, or Senior
Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship both now and in the future

Preferred

Knowledge of SAP and Business Objects preferred
