Responsibilities
Determine project scope, develop investigation plans, and define project specifications (cost, time, sample requirements) by analyzing client input and product construction
Perform and oversee product assessments and component evaluations at client or TÜV SÜD sites, ensuring compliance with applicable standards (e.g., EN/IEC/UL 62368, 61010, 60335)
Conduct technical file reviews, document findings, and prepare client reports in a timely manner
Review product design, engineering, and manufacturing processes, documenting any deficiencies
Act as the principal intermediary between clients and operating areas throughout project lifecycles
Communicate technical issues and project progress with clients and internal teams
Lead meetings with clients to discuss project updates and test-specific issues
Innovate and develop new testing techniques and procedures as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in a laboratory conducting electrical safety testing
In-depth knowledge of national and international electrical product safety standards (preferably for electric vehicle charging, batteries, energy storage systems)
Familiarity with test equipment and applicable standards committees
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred
Project management experience is desirable
