Responsibilities

Consult with plant and field sales engineers in interpreting and defining new equipment applications
Develop a variety of complex drawings and bills-of-material based upon established product designs, which provides sufficient detail to accurately convey the purchaser’s equipment application
Coordinate mechanical and electrical interfaces with other products
Advise Drafting/Design, Manufacturing, and Purchasing – when required – in interpreting information for the accurate production of equipment in accordance with the purchaser’s requirements
Manage purchaser onsite visits to approve and/or release equipment for shipping
Manage Manufacturing and Engineering Change Notices
Demonstrate advanced computer skills with ability to learn required software (Bid Manager, AutoCAD, Design Automation, MAPICS)
Consult with Quality in resolving issues after the equipment is shipped, when required
Conduct special development/application projects of a complex nature
Inform cost and cycle time improvement activities
Conduct technical training guidance and seminars, as required
Analyze needs and recommend revisions to Department Policies and Procedures

Required

Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution with a graduation before August 2026
Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8

Minimum of one internship or co-op experience or an equivalent of 3 months of related experience completed at the time of this application

Preferred

Degree in electrical engineering
Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
Electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing Internship/Co-Op experience
Knowledge of power distribution products (LV and MV Switchgear, Panelboards and Switchboards, Motor Control Centers, etc.)
Experience with PLC or relay programming
Experience with AutoCAD
Project Management experience
