The SAP Variant Configuration Specialist is responsible for managing the activities related to the construction and maintenance of Variant Configurators within the Switching and Fusing Business Unit, including supporting material master and bill of materials creation and maintenance.

Responsibilities
Provide extensive support in the areas of SAP material master and bill of materials creation and maintenance
Support the engineering change process
Provide extensive support in the areas affected by the Variant Configurators including controls, processes, and data integrity
Will interface with Enterprise IT team members, SAP platform resources, SAP R/3 end-users, engineering and New Product development personnel in the execution of duties, including:
Create and maintain Variant Configurator data for multiple product lines within the SAP S/4 environment
Modify/publish data models relating to the different products
Maintaining a strong understanding of variant configurator data requirements in the SAP S/4 environment and the impacts of data elements on all enterprise systems and processes
Participate in business process improvement initiatives in support of the company’s process improvement initiatives
Perform integration testing of the variant configurator models in SAP S/4 environments
Assist in the development and validation of training materials as required
Create and maintain material master data and bills of materials
Support mass data change projects
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience working in an SAP S/4 environment or similar ERP system working extensively with Bills of Material, Material Master and/or Variant Configuration
Thorough knowledge/understanding of all aspects of the SAP Variant Configurator processes
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to work both independently and across teams
Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize work and achieve desired results
Strong appreciation for data integrity and clear process definitions
