Education
Responsibilities
Manages the planning, design, execution, and implementation of large-scale projects, programs, and change initiatives
Manages changes to project plan, schedule, cost, and scope
Identifies critical path decisions and communicates to project stakeholders
Provides guidance and support to project team and managers
Builds and maintains relationships with campus partners
Collaborates with project team members in making strategic decisions when appropriate
Defines, tracks, assesses, and communicates the value and impact of projects through value assessment surveys and case study development
Develops regular project status reports for both project sponsors and strategic implementation committees
Conducts presentations related to project management
Engages in change management within the scope of unit projects
Responsible for portfolio management across unit projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Five (5) years of direct project management experience
Demonstrated ability to facilitate project planning and progress sessions
Able to work within a matrix organization structure
Able to foster teamwork
Able to develop and mentor others
Able to mentor and support the professional growth and development of team members
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
Knowledge of project management methodology and familiarity with major project management approaches
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management, portfolio management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong critical thinking skills
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
Preferred
Project Management Professional Certification
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Experience with project management software solutions
Experience in higher education
Experience managing or supporting enterprise resource planning (ERP) system implementation or modernization projects
