Responsibilities
On a small to medium job, performs the duties of a lead engineer in either an area, coordinating and directing a variety of disciplines, or as a Deputy Project Field Engineer, coordinating all activities related to the operation of assigned operating section
Proactively engages with their teams’ development through CPM, competency development/assessment and feedback Leads in a broad range of construction engineering work within a specific engineering discipline
Coordinates with design on constructability issues
Directs the preparation of requisitions for field procured materials, material substitution, services, and equipment
Possesses responsibility for quantity take-off, control, reporting and forecasting
Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely
Possesses responsibility for coordinating between construction and startup to ensure the various system walkdowns are performed, interfacing with the startup specialist as required to support component/system turnover and assuming responsibility (as required) for area turnover coordination as determined by the PFE
Reviews and approves inspection test plans
Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals
Qualification
Required
Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
