Responsibilities

Consult with the Key Account Manager to define the scope of the project being considered
Define and or approve the equipment being proposed to the prospective customer
Gather the data required in making the equipment selection specifications
Involve the support of Systems Engineering staff as required to complete project requirements
Prepare a cost worksheet using Microsoft Excel that will be used to prepare the quotation and presentation package for the prospective customer
Prepare customized correspondence as required to be included in the formal presentation package
Interact with Project Management and Field Service in preparing and approving finished proposals and quotations
Discuss presentation documentation with Key Account Manager and prospective customer as necessary to satisfy the information requirements of the prospect
Prepare and deliver formal presentations to the prospect as circumstances demand
Perform site reviews as necessary to insure suitability of the prospects proposed site, with regard to size constraints, and available facilities for the proposed system- this also involves some concept selling and prospect qualification
Work with the members of the Systems team to develop computer tools and techniques for streamlining the process of proposal preparation- this involves vendor meeting and negotiations as well as department meetings and correspondence related to projects in process
Maintain the technical accuracy of the proposal documentation, so as to always have current information in the prospect’s hands
Prepare reports as required to track business and projects
Perform special projects as required to accomplish some specific task or goal as required by the department’s operations and objectives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business; experience may substitute
Thermal spray process knowledge for all T/S processes
Specific product knowledge and familiarity with engineering and scientific principles sufficient to identify technical problems and communicate them to engineering staff in standard terminology and methodology
Highly developed sales and negotiation skills
Contract and Project Management skills
A high degree of skill in problem solving both 'creative' or original solutions to sales challenges and 'disaster control' problems
Excellent computer skills especially the use of MS Excel and MS Word
Job requires a US Person
