Dorman Products is seeking an Engineering student to join their Quality Engineering team for the summer of 2025. The intern will assist in reviewing and testing products, perform containment activities, and communicate with engineers to verify vendor corrective actions.

Responsibilities

Understand primary types of customer complaints
Assist in containment and determination of root cause for customer product satisfaction gaps
Work with QE’s in determining root cause for returned product
Participate in cross-functional teams investigating issues
Support product development and reverse engineering functions
Support local site quality and operations
Help to implement controls to prevent reoccurrence on nonconformances

Qualification

Product qualification testingInspection tools usageAutomotive product experienceMicrosoft ExcelCommunication skills

Required

Capable to learn how to perform product qualification testing
Ability to learn to use inspection tools and test equipment
Ability to interpret Procedures and Work Instructions
Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel
Actively pursuing a technical degree in an engineering-related discipline

Preferred

Automotive product experience is a bonus
