Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is offering an unpaid internship through the DoD SkillBridge Program for transitioning active-duty military personnel. The intern will train as an Interior Communications - Master Tradesperson, learning essential skills and working on meaningful projects under the guidance of a mentor and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

Train as an Interior Communications - Master Tradesperson within HII-Mission Technologies, reporting to a designated HII Supervisor, with the goal of learning Master Tradesperson basics and principles

Be assigned special projects as needed

Develop skills needed to be presented with a problem, design solutions, fabricate the solutions, test the product, and make alterations based on feedback

Develop a good understanding of the tradesperson equipment, including operation, configuration, and maintenance of equipment

Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem on 1MC, 3MC and 5MC systems onboard Naval ships

Learn to schedule, report, and brief customers and senior management of work progress
