WIC Program Administrator, Dietitian
Wesley Community Center is a local, non-profit, federally qualified health center committed to providing high-quality primary care to all individuals. The WIC Program Administrator oversees the WIC agency operations and clinic staff, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing nutrition education and counseling to clients.

Responsibilities
Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Local Agency activities. Analyzes administrative reports
Develop, review, and update local agency policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and procedures
Provides ongoing supervision and support of Local Agency staff
Complete Local Agency Self-Assessments for staff and delegate them to supervisors, as needed
Reviews monthly WIC expenses and submits CER to WIC Nutrition Consultant for reimbursement
Oversee daily local agency operations
Keeps current with up-to-date information and state and FNS policy updates. Disseminate this information to other Local Agency staff
Completes annual contract documents to provide WIC program services
Identifies, coordinates and collaborates with community stakeholders
Attends required meetings including the WIC Partner’s meeting, Nutrition/ Breastfeeding Coordinators meeting, and WIC Director’s call
May certify potential WIC clients or provide high-risk counseling and/or formula authorization to WIC participants, if a Registered Dietitian
May serve in a variety of supervisory roles within the Local Agency
Attend and may facilitate monthly staff meetings and WIC clinic staff meetings
Performs Certification Specialist, Nutrition Education Specialist, and Coordinator duties and other duties as needed and appropriate
Plans and provides individual and group nutrition education to high-risk clients, providers, and professional staff utilizing interactive teaching methods and diverse multi-media materials and aids
Assesses and documents findings of the nutrition status of program participants; plans and provides counseling and education to participants with high nutritional risk
Assists in developing policies and procedures to ensure nutrition objectives and interventions are consistent with accepted nutrition and public health guidelines
Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding clinical nutrition issues or concerns, including customizing individual meal plans for program participants with medical needs
Develop staff skills and knowledge regarding nutrition and delivery of nutrition services through training, coaching, and mentoring
Participates in utilization reviews, quality assurance audits, and data collection relative to nutrition care and education
Performs formula authorization, and, as necessary, certification of clients and other duties as required or assigned
Qualification
Required
Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN)
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Microsoft Edge)
Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Etc.)
High School Diploma
Fingerprint Clearance Card
