Staff Engineer, Electrical Design - Power
Celestica is a leader in design, manufacturing, and supply chain solutions. The Staff Engineer, Electrical Design - Power will develop new electrical systems and circuits, conduct testing and validation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product development.

Responsibilities
Lead the design, development and implementation of technical solutions for complex projects, involving multiple domains. Participate in project planning and scheduling
Provides technical leadership and direction to a sizable team of engineers. May be a recognized expert (go to person) in one or more technical areas
Takes responsibility for non-technical elements of an engineering project (people, financials etc.)
Reviews and interprets customer requirements/specifications and may act as primary customer contract
Analyze trade-offs in complex systems and recommend solutions. Develops deployment strategies and plans
Leads the deployment of strategic complex programs and coordinates site-wide deployment efforts
May manage relationships with key vendors/partners
Design, modify and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs. E.g. creation of Schematics, Bills of material, diagrams, drawings, etc
Testing, simulation and measuring (including troubleshooting) the performance of systems
Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations
Solve complex problems
Liaison with suppliers, customers, contractors, and other internal teams
Analyze and interpret data and information
Recommend modifications for systems
Create reports, minutes and updates
May be a recognized expert (go to person) in one or more technical areas
Qualification
Required
9 to 12 years of related experience; Experience in similar job roles
Bachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience
Considered a Subject Matter Expert in the area of power design
Deep knowledge of DC/DC power topologies and tradeoffs
Experienced in designing power systems for networking, compute, or storage products
Experienced in high current, high-phase count designs for ASICs and GPUs
Experienced in PCB stack-up, power planes, and tools used to simulate voltage gradients
Familiarity with schematic capture and CAD layout tools
Proficient with circuit simulation tools such as PSPICE and LTSPICE
Knowledge of high-density power modules and Vertical Power Delivery
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to present to various audiences effectively
