InternCalPortland is seeking a summer intern for the Oro Grande cement plant, ideal for a student interested in mechanical engineering. The intern will provide support to the maintenance department and gain insight into the cement and building materials industry.

Responsibilities
Complete Safety and MSHA training and any other site/job specific required training
Carry-out and practice all Safety training and Company policies in the CalPortland workplace
Provide support to the Oro Grande Maintenance Mechanical team
Assist in PM instruction develeopment
Learn about cement plant operations
Additional work with plant engineers
Assist in routine housekeeping and maintenance of the facilities
Learn about other CalPortland departments and interface as required
Attend Summer Intern event at Corporate Headquarters in Las Vegas, NV
Perform plant tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Good attendance and punctual
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Must possess valid driver's license, insurance and be insurable to drive company vehicles
