Responsibilities

Partner with engineering for active participation in design reviews and continuously throughout the development process
Solve complex problems and use your ability to provide solutions to problems using both creative processes and analytical methods. Will work independently, requiring guidance on only the most complex situations
Manage and execute assigned product development quality tasks as defined in the product development process, accountable for the quality of DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and control plans to prevent product defects to achieve short and long-term quality goals
Coordinate with other quality functions to analyze for quality improvements to enable design activities on time and with improved quality
Create and manage processes related to design quality, knowledge capture, and product launch readiness by being involved throughout the development process from concept through end of life
Proactively engage in issue resolution through the project team and escalate issues early as appropriate
Drive continuous improvement of product launch processes and product designs for improved quality and customer experience
Ensure critical deliverables and timelines are met for assigned development programs

Required

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred
Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience
Demonstrates in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge of design quality, practices, and tools
A demonstrated ability to work effectively within a group and/or team and provide guidance to peers, management, and new team members
Has a proven track record of reviewing designs and determining appropriate testing/controls to ensure implementation of robust solutions
Ability to travel up to 35%

Preferred

Engineering design, test validation, APQP, and PPAP experience
3D modelling of routed systems with clearance or creepage analysis
Expertise in connector, terminal, and splice specification
Routed system rules; bend radii, flow violations, fitting selection
Manufacturing process development, product development, or distribution
Motorcycle enthusiast, riding experience, and knowledge of motorcycles, service, or accessories
