Interdisciplinary Architect/General Engineer

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, monitor and review complex multi-disciplined projects and programs and the relationship between different engineering, architecture, and science discipline
Oversee and regularly report on the status and completion of work related to facilities construction and maintenance
Ensure contractual requirements, including technical adequacy, design excellence and project schedules are met while ensuring that ANC mission is uninterrupted
Review contractor shop drawings, architectural designs, samples, and material certification for contract and performance compliance, recommends them for approval or rejection
Recommend design changes to meet unforeseen circumstances and interpret customized specifications and designs

Required

One year of specialized experience which includes applying sound engineering and/or architecture practices to construct, preserve, repair, and/or renovate facilities
Participating in the complete life-cycle of projects ranging from design to closeout and maintenance
Ensuring project designs abide by all applicable laws and regulations
Transcripts are required to meet the Basic Education for the applicable series
Basic Education Requirement for Architect: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in architecture or in a related field that included 60 semester hours of course work in architecture or related disciplines
Basic Education Requirement for General Engineer: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in engineering
Must possess a valid state driver's license
Moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 pounds is required
